Situado en las faldas del volcán de agua, este pueblo es esencialmente agrícola. Al igual que los otros pueblos, su principal siembra es maíz y frijol. Además cultivan verduras de todas clases. Aquí tejen sus vistosos trajes donde predominan el rojo y morado en sus “huipiles”, y el azul oscuro en sus cortes. Por estar a mayor altura, el clima es mas frio y las mujeres usan el “tzute” que les sirve para protejerse del frio o del sol. Los hombres usan chaquetas gruesas de lana negra.

Located at a relatively high altitude on the slopes of Agua volcano, its inhabitants grow all kinds of vegetables: green beans, carrots, asparagus, beets, peppers, squash, guisquil, etc., in addition to the staple corn and black beans. The women weave their “huipiles” (blouses) with red and purple and the skirts with dark blue hues. Women use “tzutes” (shawls) to protect themselves from the sun and the cold, and men wear thick black wool jackets.
