EL VOLCAN DE AGUA
El volcán de Agua que domina la ciudad de Antigua, tiene 3600 metros de altura u no es active. Un camino de tierra sube a 200 metros abajo del cráter, el cual tiene 180 metros de ancho, 70 metros de profundidad, un fondo plano y un lado abrierto hacia Antigua. Se cree que originalmente había un lago en el cráter que se desbordo a causa de fuertes lluvias y la correntada que se formo arraso la segunda capital de Guatemala, hoy Ciudad Vieja.
AGUA VOLCANO
Agua Volcano, dominating the Antigua valley, is a shield type volcano and fortunately inactive. A four wheel drive road reaches 3/4 of the way to the crater, which is approximately 500 feet wide, 200 feet deep, with a flat bottom and one side open towards Antigua. It is believed that once it held a lake which broke through during heavy rains and the flood destroyed the second capital of Guatemala, today Ciudad Vieja.
